Communion

Children are invited to participate more fully in the celebration of the Mass by receiving the sacrament of Communion/ Eucharist.  This usually occurrs when a child is in the second grade.  Readiness to receive this sacrament can vary from child to child.  Attendance in the Religious Education program and any additional Sacramental meetings is a prerequisite to receiving the sacrament.
